He didn't bother to put on a coat; it was 

warm this night and his red shirt and blue 

jeans would be just fine.  

But he needed to put on his running shoes 

because this would be a special night.

This would be the night when he would 

run with the animals!

He had run with them so many times that 

they had become his friends and they 

waited for him with excitement.

The fox saw him first, 

"LOOK, HE'S COMING!,"

he shouted to the wolf.

Then the wolf threw his head back and 

howled, which was his way of sending a 

signal to the deer.

It was time to run with the little boy.

Now this was no ordinary little boy.   You 

see, he could run faster than all of the 

animals in the forest.   He could even run 

faster than the deer.

The fox, and the wolf, and the deer all 

yelled together...

"Slow down, we can't keep up with you!"

But the little boy was 

faster than the wind, and 

he shouted...

The boy who had 

secrets gets ready for 

another adventure.

The babysitter was distracted, taking care of 

the little boy's brothers; and this was the 

moment he waited for because she would not 

notice him gone.

He opened the back door to the house, and he 

was off like a bolt of lightening...

...on his way to the tiny airport, beyond the 

back fence and across the field.

There it was.   The shiny red airplane.   The 

boy's mother and father would be shocked if 

they knew what he was about to do.   Running 

with animals was one thing, but flying an 

airplane!?   The little boy smiled when he turned 

the key and the engine roared to life.   He taxied 

to the runway...

...pushed in the throttle, and the shiny red 

bullet was soon airborne, climbing to the 

clouds.

He rolled the plane upside down.   He flew big 

loops in the sky.   He was having a blast!

Every time he went flying, he saw the most 

amazing sights.   One time he saw cats flying an 

airplane!

Cats always made the little boy smile.   But what 

made him really laugh was seeing a dog flying a 

plane!  

And then he saw the strangest and most 

hilarious sight you could ever imagine.  

IT WAS A CAT FLYING WITH NO AIRPLANE, 

JUST A CAPE!   The little boy could not stop 

laughing.
