Max and Leo were twin brothers who loved looking at the stars. One evening, when they were twelve years old, they went outside after dinner.

Leo pointed up at the night sky and said, "Wow, look at that star twinkling so brightly between those two clouds!"

" Max got an idea. "We should climb that big tree over there to get an even better view!" he exclaimed.

Leo shook his head. "Mom told us twice already not to climb trees. It's too dangerous!"  But Max wasn't listening. 

"Don't be such a twit," he told his brother as he grabbed a low twig and started pulling himself up. Leo watched nervously from below. "Max, please be careful!" he called out.

Max climbed higher and higher until he was near the top of the tree. He stepped out on a skinny twig to see the twinkle twinkle stars more clearly.

Suddenly, there was a loud CRACK! The twig broke and Max started falling towards the ground! He landed with a thud between some bushes. Leo ran over frantically.

Leo ran over frantically. "Max! Max! Are you okay?" he asked twice, his heart beating very fast .
