This book was written by our students in our Let's Green The Future eTwinning project, in memory of March 22 World Water Day.

Once upon a time, in the highest layers of the sky, there was a drop of water living among the clouds. Her name was Marina. Marina loved to observe the Earth and discover the colorful tapestry of life beneath. She and her friend Aqua were always talking about the beauty of the Earth.

One day, with great curiosity, Marina decided to go on a journey to see how humans affect the world. Marina's decision excited Aqua too. The two drops left the warm embrace of the clouds and set off for the adventurous surface of the Earth. Their first stop was a crystal clear lake at the top of a mountain. Here they met the lake's inhabitants, each of whom told a different story about the importance of water and its conservation.

As Marina and Aqua's Clean Water Action organization grew, so did their impact on communities around the world. They organized beach cleanups, water-saving workshops, and educational programs in schools. People began to recognize the importance of their mission and joined in their efforts. With each event and campaign, Marina and Aqua's message spread further, inspiring others to take action to protect water sources and ensure a sustainable future for all. Their journey became a symbol of hope and unity, showing that even the smallest drops could make a big difference when they came together for a common cause.

Marina and Aqua were giving a presentation about water usage in a school when they encountered an unexpected event. One of the students raised their hand during the discussion about preventing water waste. Marina and Aqua eagerly awaited to hear what the student had to say.
The student began to speak with a trembling voice: "My name is John, and what I want to tell you is that there is a serious issue of water waste in this school. The toilets are constantly leaking, and much of the water from the taps is being wasted. We've tried to bring this issue to the attention of the school administration many times, but nothing has been done. I can't take it anymore because seeing how water is wasted every day saddens me deeply. Please, tell us how you can help us!"

Marina and Aqua promised the children that they would immediately take care of this issue and asked the school administration for details. They also set the Clean Water Organization in action and started to tackle the wastage in all other schools like this one. While everything was going well, they could not solve the problem of a single faucet in the school. Marina decided to go into the faucet and see what is going on there. When she entered the faucet, she saw a water drop crying incessantly. She came closer and said, "Hey little one! What's wrong with you and why do you keep crying?"
The little one said, "My name is Droppy Droppie, my whole family
has gone down this faucet because people won't turn it off but
I can't go because I'm a little drop of water and I'm scared." Marina got it. As long as Droppie kept crying, there would be water here running.

While Marina and Aqua waited for Droppy to gather courage, all the students held their breath. It seemed as if the entire classroom had fallen silent to support the little water drop in its brave endeavor.
Marina finished counting, and Droppy took a deep breath, determined
to face his fear. "I'm ready!" he said bravely, and then decisively descended down the faucet. As he descended, there was a quiet, almost imperceptible sound of droplets coming together into one during his journey.
After Droppy disappeared down the faucet, Marina and Aqua eagerly
awaited the moment of reunion. Then they heard a joyful cry and saw
Droppy happily playing with his family
in the crystal-clear water of the lake below.
All the students applauded together,
feeling deep joy for the successful
resolution of the faucet problem.
Marina and Aqua decided to continue
their mission of water conservation,
knowing that every drop, no matter
how small, could make a big difference
when united for a common goal.

After successfully solving the problem at school,
Marina and Aqua, sailing across the oceans, noticed an
unusual condition of a coral reef. It was significantly bleached and appeared weakened. Deeply concerned, Marina and Aqua approached
the coral to find out what was wrong. Corals have always
been an important part of the marine ecosystem, but this
one seemed to be suffering. They learned from other marine
creatures that the corals in this part of the ocean had begun to
bleach due to increased water temperatures and pollution.
Determined to help, Marina and Aqua organized
a meeting with local marine residents to discuss measures for coral protection. Together, they developed a plan for cleaning and protecting the coral reef, including raising awareness about the importance of preserving marine ecosystems and reducing pollution.
Soon, they gathered a group of volunteers and embarked on a cleaning mission. They removed waste and harmful substances from the coral's surroundings, providing better conditions for its recovery. During the process, they got acquainted with different species of marine creatures that had gathered to help them, realizing how important it is for everyone to work together to protect water and preserve marine life.

Marina and Aqua continued their ocean voyages. They noticed how marine fauna and flora were struggling with increasing plastic pollution. Plastic waste, ranging from plastic bags to microplastics, has significantly threatened the marine ecosystem and the animals living within it. Determined to address this issue, Marina and Aqua teamed up with local communities and environmental protection organizations. They organized shoreline and underwater cleaning actions, removing large amounts of waste from the waters. They conducted educational programs on the harmful effects of plastic on marine life and encouraged people to use alternative materials that are environmentally friendly. Many communities began to rethink their
plastic consumption habits and transition
to more sustainable alternatives. Marina
and Aqua, step by step, raised awareness
of the importance of preserving water and
nature, showing that everyone can
contribute to environmental protection.
