Welcome to North Macedonia. As young acheologist we are going to present the village where we live. It is called Mrshevci and it is located in the near by area of the capital city Skopje.
The Muslims stayed in Mrševci until the end of the Turkish rule in 1912, when they retreated with the Turkish army, fearing reprisals, because they often harassed and robbed the villagers from the surrounding villages or the travelers who passed through the village on their way to Skopje or Kumanovo. From 1912 to 1921, Mrshevci was a deserted settlement, the destroyed houses became snake pits, and the entire atar was overgrown with weeds and thorns. In March 1921, Serbian colonists from southern Serbia, Dalmatia and Bosnia began to move into the village, and the Serbian occupying power even granted (gifted) them plots (Kurilovo, Ramnište, Dva Brata, Golem Rid) with fertileland and pastures, which unfairly took them from the neighboring clean Macedonian villages of Buchinci and Bujkovci. In June 1941, the Bulgarian fascist occupation authorities evicted almost all Serbian immigrant families, except for 2 families who were originally from Macedonia, and in their place, families from the vicinity of Kriva Palanka and Kumanovo moved in. After the Second World War, a part of the Serbian colonists managed to return to the village, and Macedonians from North-Eastern Macedonia began to move to the greater part.
Today there are around 550 people living in the village.
This is a famous church called Saint Spas and it is a beautiful place for people to gather togehter on important religious holidays and gatherings.

The Great Mother, an altar from the Middle Neolithic found in Mrševci.
The basic idea of this ceramic object, known in archeology as an altar, is to show the mother as a mother, that is, the source of life and the protector of the family and the house. The face of the mother is the first face that the child sees after birth. The role and place of the mother in a person's life is extremely significant. Therefore, in the course of the development of humanity, a special respect or worship of the image and meaning of the mother was created in all times and civilizations in the world.

We walked around the village and asked the elderly people to show us some of the objects from the past they have kept. This is a special bottle that was used to store wine.

This is a special tool for preparing home made juice and tomato ketchup.

This is a special bottle that was used to store water. Back in the days people used to go to the center of the village where there was water to bring some home.

These are hand weaven tapestries that were used for decoration in the houses. Women were very skillful in the past and spent many hours weaving such tapestries.

Łagiewniki- is a village in Poland located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in the Dzierżoniów County, in the Łagiewniki commune.

The following objects are entered in the voivodeship register of monuments:
