THE TALE OF DOUBLE MINARET MADRASA
According to a tale about a master and his apprentice who worked on the construction of a madrasa, one of the famous double minarets was built by the master and the other by his apprentice. The work of the apprentice ended up being more remarkable than that of the master. The left minaret, built by the apprentice, was simpler and easier in its construction compared to the right minaret built by the master. Over time, the people admired the work of the apprentice more. One day, the apprentice, who had become proud and believed he had surpassed his master, asked the master for water while working on the minarets. In response, the master, feeling hurt and upset, threw himself down from theminaret.Witnessing this, the apprentice, overwhelmed with sadness, also threw himself down. The construction was left unfinished, and some architectural differences between the two halves of the madrasa remain as a testament to this story. The right half, built by the apprentice, is more ornate, while the left half, built by the master, is simpler.

Thediscipletakes the wine, comes to the place where the Heavenly Fountain is located, and breaks the bottle while drinking water. A nice scent spreads from the bottle. The disciple realizes that he made a mistake and runs to his teacher and asks for forgiveness. TALE OF TORTUM LAKE
A shepherd from the village of Uzundere Hars (Uludağ) in Tortuma was grazing his flock when he heard a voice from out of nowhere '...I'm coming...' Surprised, the shepherd looks to his left and right and sees no one. He thinks he is deluding himself. He grazes his flock until evening and returns to his village. The shepherd hears the same voice again next day in the same place. Again no one is there. When this happened again on the third day, the shepherd consulted the elders of the village. One of them, a wise old villager, instructs the shepherd to respond to the sound he hears as follows; '... Son, if you hear the same sound again tomorrow, come and see what you are going to do! Finally, on the 4th dayafterhearing this sound, the shepherd does what the old villager says and responds as soon as he hears the sound; '... Come here, come here, come here, what are you going to do...' As soon as the shepherd says these words, half of the mountain on the slopes of which he grazes his herd breaks off and blocks the Tortum Stream flowing from below, thus creating a lake on one side and the Tortum Waterfall overflowing from the rocks on the other side.
