Introduction

Did you know big horn sheep are mammals that live in  Mojave Desert? They are also good at climbing.They are related to most goats but have bigger horns.

Habitat

Big horn sheep live in the hot rocky 

deserts of California.They usually 

live in the mountains.The color of the 

rock is a orange, gray, brown color that 

is steep.The steep mountains and rocks

can be two inches long! The plants that

live there are comprised of plants and shrubs.

Food

Big horn sheep usually eat shrubs and little plants.They get their water by drinking a lot

of it and then that water lasts them until the

next rainstorm in the winter.Their food is hard

to find because not many plants can live in the desert.The food that they eat usually grows in

the cracks of the mountains or the plains.

Adaptations

Big horn sheep have cloven hooves that

let them climb steep hills to get away from 

predators.They also have keen eyesight

that lets them search for predators.

The last two adaptations they have

are a good sense of smell to let

them get food, and good hearing.

Predators

Big horn sheep have two predators.

The first one is eagles, eagles can come

down and swoop or bite the sheep.

The other one are coyotes that can 

ponce  or jump on the sheep.
