Once upon a time, in a small town, there lived a young girl named Lily. Lily was a bubbly and bright child, with a smile that could light up the darkest of days. But deep inside, Lily carried a secret - she struggled with something called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, or, in other words, OCD.
Every day, Lily always found herself of worries. She would spend hours arranging her toys in perfect lines, and she couldn't leave her room until everything was just right. Lily would wash her hands so many times that they became red and sore, afraid of germs that weren't really there.
One day, Lily's mom noticed her struggles and decided it was time to seek help. She took her to a nice doctor who specialized in helping children with worries like Lily's. The doctor listened carefully as Lily explained how she felt .
The doctor gently explained to Lily and her parents that OCD was like having a bossy brain that liked things a certain way.
Don’t worry, Lily! They are some tips and tricks that can help manage this disorder.
The doctor told Lily and her mom that starting “Play therapy “ will help with Lily’s symptoms. This therapy will help Lily express her emotions with a therapist in a safe environment!
Take a deep breath, Lily! I am here for you.
As the days turned into weeks, Lily's world began to brighten. She laughed and played with her friends without the weight of worry dragging her down. And though she still had moments where her OCD tried to sneak back in, Lily knew just what to do - take a deep breath, and keep moving forward.
