In this book we find ot about Blaise Pascal and his journey to becoming who he is now...

Mr. Pascal, is that you?

Oh hello there! Yeah it is me, the one and only Blaise Pascal!

It really is you! I am so excited I got to meet you that I would like to invite you to my studio so me and my friends can ask you a few questions about you and your life. Would you like to come?

Absolutely! Let me just grab my stuff from my Porsche 992 Turbos S and I will meet you inside!

Thanks for coming inside Mr. Pascal! We are very excited to have you here!

Good evening everybody! Thanks again for inviting me over and I hope I can answer all your questions and provide as much detail as possible.

So, the first thing I am curious about, Mr. Pascal is What initially sparked your interest in mathematics and science?

That is a very good question! My father's guidance sparked my interest in mathematics and science. He exposed me to these subjects early on, igniting a passion for logical reasoning and problem-solving that continued to drive my pursuits throughout my life.

My turn now. So, let's talk about when you were a kid. How did you start liking physics and science?

Well, my dad was pretty into science, so he got me interested early on. I liked watching things like objects in motion or how light reflects off surfaces, trying to understand the reasons behind these phenomena. I also enjoyed tinkering with simple experiments to see how things worked.

That's awesome! Let's talk about your Pascaline. It's one of the first calculators, right? What made you think, "Hey, I'm gonna build a machine to do math"?

First of all, my dad was a tax guy, and he was always complaining about doing math by hand. So, I thought, "Hey, why not make life easier?" Building it wasn't easy, but we made it happen!

Another one for you is How did your interactions with other intellectuals of your time influence your work?

Interactions with intellectuals like Descartes and Fermat sharpened my ideas and drove innovation in our fields.

Neat! So, how did you come up with your ideas about pressure and fluid dynamics?

Exploring pressure and fluid dynamics was captivating! As a young scientist, I was fascinated by liquids and gases. One significant contribution was Pascal's Law, stating that pressure applied to a fluid is uniformly transmitted. This insight arose during my study of hydraulics, a thrilling period of discovery.

Now, let's move onto your passion, philosophy. Your thoughts are pretty deep. You talked about human condition and religious beliefs. Can you break it down for us?

I explored the idea of the human tendency towards both belief and skepticism, not just blindly following rules, but taking a leap and trusting in something bigger than ourselves.
