Bubbles and her two 

friends are on a 

mission to save the 

Human Population and 

keep everyone 

informed about the 

causes of high and low 

birth rates around the 

world! They plan to 

save the population 

and keep everyone 

safe and healthy!

"Hey guys, it’s Bubbles here! Do you know 

about the stages of the Demographic 

Transition Model and how it has to do with 

different birth and death rates? Well, that’s 

what this is all about! The Demographic 

Transition Model shows the transformation of 

countries that have high birth and death rates, 

to low birth and death rates. This model 

consists of 4 different stages which Buttercup, 

Blossom and I will be explaining!"

After Blossom sees 

that Bubbles is 

starting to inform 

everyone, she starts 

to explain Stage 1 of 

the model and how it 

would affect a 

country living in such 

conditions! She races 

down to city hall and 

starts to explain...

down to city hall and starts to explain: 

"Hey, it’s Blossom here! Stage 1 of the model 

does not occur in any of the countries in 

today’s world. It consists of low growth, high 

death and birth rates, and very low population. 

Unstable food sources are also a big factor!! It 

is best to stay out of Stage 1 because it does 

not qualify for a good lifestyle, even though 

most of human history lived in this stage!"

Buttercup zooms in 

to back up Blossom 

and explains Stage 2 

of the demographic 

transition model. All 

the people at city 

hall listen closely 

eager to learn how 

to help their country!

"Hey everyone, i'm Buttercup and i'm here to 

help you guys keep our country functioning 

while it goes through Stage 2. During stage 2 

death rates fall while birth rates spike! This 

causes a "population explosion". During this 

stage we must keep our environment clean so 

that we do not run out of resources. I know we 

can do it guys!"

Bubbles explains to 

everyone at city hall 

that there was nothing 

to worry about!
