Once an adult, HAndy then decide to attend Teachers Agricultural and Mechanical College in Huntsville, Alabama, where he earned his degree.

W.C. Handy was a musician who paved the way for African american blues artists during the Harlem Renaissance.
W.C Handy’s real name is actually Willam Christopher Handy.
Handy was first made famous in 1896, when he was asked to join W. A. Mahara's Minstrels.
Handy was said to be in fluenced by African American folk music that we know know as the blues.
