Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a wise and beloved king named Lear. King Lear had three daughters whom he loved dearly: Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia.

Goneril, the eldest daughter, said, "I love you more than all the jewels in the kingdom."

Regan, the second daughter, declared, "I love you more than all the stars in the sky."

but when it was Cordelia's turn, she simply said, "I love you as a daughter should, no more, no less."

King Lear was furious with Cordelia's modest answer. He banished her from the kingdom and divided his land between Goneril and Regan.

As time passed, King Lear realized that Goneril and Regan were not as loving as they had claimed. They mistreated him and plotted against each other for more power.

Alone and heartbroken, King Lear wandered the countryside, accompanied only by his loyal Fool and a few faithful friends. Through his journey, he learned the true meaning of love and forgiveness.

Meanwhile, Cordelia, who had been living in exile, heard of her father's plight. She returned to the kingdom with an army to restore order and reconcile with her father.

In the end, King Lear and Cordelia were reunited, but tragically, it was too late. The kingdom was in chaos, and Cordelia lost her life trying to save her father.

King Lear was filled with grief and regret for his actions. He realized that true love cannot be measured by words alone and that Cordelia's love, though humble, was the most genuine of all.

And so, the wise king's lesson was learned: Love is not about grand gestures or empty promises but about honesty, loyalty, and sacrifice.
