Erick was excited for Christmas. He loved the festive lights and the delicious food. This year, his family had a special surprise planned. Erick's grandma was coming all the way from Mexico to visit them.

His mom started making traditional Mexican dishes. The house was filled with the smell of tamales and pozole. Erick helped his dad put up Christmas decorations. Erick's baby brother tried to help but mostly made a mess

The day finally arrived. Erick and his family went to pick up his grandma. When she walked through the gate, Erick ran to hug her. His grandma's eyes filled with tears of joy as she saw her family.

That night, they all sat around the fireplace. Erick's grandma told stories from her childhood in Mexico. Erick listened carefully, imagining the places she described, but his brother on the other hand, fell asleep on his grandma's lap.
