Every year in our family, Christmas Eve begins for me and my mother by frying carp fillet, chicken cutlet and finishing a traditional potato salad, which is very popular with us because we only make it at Christmas dinner.

When is everything  cooked, we set the table. We put all the food in the middle so that everyone can take what they like. We will put carp scale under the plates, because it will bring good luck for another year. 

When we all finish dinner, we go to sit in the living room, where there is a Christmas tree with presents. My younger brother distributes the presents to all members of the family and then we together unwrap all presents and show others, what we got.
