A bit about the project.

Let's talk about trams! Trams are a special type of transportation that can travel on roads and rails. They are important for city life and have been used for over a hundred years. Trams give reliable and efficient service to many people around the world.

In this project, we will look at their history, new technologies, and their impact on the environment. My goal is to show how trams help cities stay green and reduce carbon emissions. I want to make people aware of the benefits of trams and encourage them to use trams instead of cars. Trams are a great choice for sustainable city travel.

I've decided this project, because I really like trams: it's very cute, silent and safe. Moreover, this kind of transport is eco-friendly that also interested me to choose it.

History.

The history of trams is very interesting. Trams have been used for over 100 years. They started in the 19th century as horse-drawn carriages on rails for city transport. A big change came in the late 19th century with electric trams. This new idea made trams faster and more reliable. Electric trams could carry more passengers. They quickly appeared in cities all over the world and helped cities grow. In the mid-20th century, cars and buses became more popular, but trams remained important in many places. Recently, trams have become popular again because they are good for the environment and work well in busy cities. Trams continue to play an important role in city transport.

Modern trams have many new technologies that make them better and more efficient. One important technology is contactless payment systems. Passengers can use cards or smartphones to pay quickly. This makes getting on and off (посадку и высадку) the tram faster and easier.

Another new technology is GPS navigation. GPS helps trams stay on (следовать) schedule by showing their exact(точное) location. Passengers can also see when the next tram will arrive. This information reduces waiting times and makes travel more predictable(предсказуемым).
