Once upon a time, in a beautiful kingdom called 

mermaidia, there lived a Queen named Scarlett 

and her daughter, Princess Jewel. Queen 

Scarlett, Princess Jewel & the royal maid, 

Athena, live in the castle. She does all the 

cleaning around the castle. It was a warm, 

sunny day   in the kingdom of Mermaidia, & 

Queen Scarlett went up stairs to Princess 

Jewels room to talk to her. It was required 

that when a queen's daughter turns 16 she is 

to be given a magical necklace. It will giver her 

power to protect the kingdom. 

As Princess Jewel was exiting her closet, she 

saw her mom sitting on her bed. Queen Scarlett 

said to her daughter, Darling, I have a gift for 

you."

"Oh mother, you didn't have to get me 

anything.", she responds.

"Well sweetheart, I didn't get you anything I'm 

giving you what's rightfully yours. I went 

downstairs to the hidden room that holds the 

crowned jewels. I grabbed a little something I 

thought it was time for you to have."

The smile on her face showed she wasn't 

disappointed. "Well mother what is this little 

something you have for me?" Princess Jewel 

asks politely.

"when I was a little girl my mother gave me this 

necklace and this not just any ordinary 

necklace. It's a magical necklace." Queen 

scarlett responded.

As Queen Scarlett handed the magical 

necklace to Princess Jewel, her eyes became 

the size of golf balls. Due to excitement, and 

shock.

"Oh thank you, mother! It's beautiful" Princess 

responds excitingly.

Her mother responds strictly, "You must listen 

to me very very carefully! You need to know 

the kind of magic this necklace holds. This 

necklace is not just any ordinary necklace. It 

holds some powerful magic within it's soul. This 

necklace holds the key to the kingdom. It will 

protect you and our kingdom, as long as you 

keep it on. So promise me you'll never take it 

off. You must do as I have asked of you. Do 

You promise me Jewel?, her mother asks 

strictly.

"Yes mother, I promise that I will do as you 

have asked of me. ", Princess Jewel responds.

"Okay then, turn around and let me help you put 

it on.", Queen Scarlett asks. As the day goes 

on, Queen Scarlett and Princess Jewel wrap up 

their day. Queen Scarlett goes downstairs into 

the kitchen. The royal maid Athena is mopping. 

Queen Scarlett politely commands Athena, "You 

are to go and collect the dirty clothes from all 

rooms and bring them to the laundry room for 

washing."

"Yes ma'am", she responds.

The next morning, Shortly after Queen Scarlett 

and Princess Jewel woke up, they begin getting 

ready for their big day.
