Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
A Kid's Guide
Imagine our world is like a big neighborhood where everyone lives together. To make sure our neighborhood is the best place it can be, we need to take care of it and each other. The Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs, are like a set of rules or goals that the world has agreed on to make our neighborhood better by 2030. There are 17 goals in total, and each one helps us focus on making the world a happier, healthier, and fairer place for everyone.
Here’s what they are:
1. No Poverty: Make sure everyone has enough money to live a good life. Imagine no one has to sleep hungry or without a home.

2. Zero Hunger: Make sure everyone has enough good food to eat, so no one is hungry.

3. Good Health and Well-being: Help everyone stay healthy and get the medical care they need.

4. Quality Education: Ensure every child can go to school and learn important things.

5. Gender Equality: Treat boys and girls, men and women, equally and fairly.

6. Clean Water and Sanitation: Make sure everyone has clean water to drink and proper toilets.

7. Affordable and Clean Energy: Use energy that is good for the environment, like wind or solar power, so everyone has electricity without harming the planet.

8. Decent Work and Economic Growth: Help everyone find good jobs that are safe and pay well, so they can take care of themselves and their families.

9. Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: Build good roads, schools, hospitals, and other things that help a country run smoothly.

10. Reduced Inequality: Make sure everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from, has the same chances in life.
