Four people, Messi, Ronaldo, Luke, and Sam, do not know how to play soccer. One day when they were together, they saw on their phones that they got drafted into the pro soccer leagues! They were both cheerful and confused, especially when they found out the cup was worth $500,000. When they kick a ball, even if it does not touch the goal, they celebrate because they do not know what a goal means. When they come back from school, they discuss why they got drafted. In the email, the soccer league explained that they are an amazing team even though they do not know how to play soccer. This encouraged them to become the best team.
When they got home, they came together and began training for the tournament. After they finished training for three hours, they got together and began discussing how they would train to win the tournament. Messi said, “ We should train a lot when we return from school until dinner.” The rest disagreed because they would be too tired. Ronaldo said, “We should train at school and not at home.” Messi disagreed because they have more time at home than at school. He made a good point, so the rest agreed with Messi.
The next day, in the morning, they looked on their phones for instructions on how to play soccer. When they came back to their houses from school, they learned how to dribble, and they practiced defending and shooting. For dribbling, they practiced different skill moves. For defense they learned how to steal the ball, and for shooting they practiced accuracy. They did that every day for three weeks. They were ecstatic! Now they were ready for the tournament!!!
One month after practicing, they finally knew how to play soccer just in time before the pro league soccer league tournament started. Ronaldo said they had to develop a team name, and Messi suggested, “It should be the Pros.” They all agreed because now they were excellent at soccer. They checked on their phones, and it said they were facing the Knights for the first soccer game. The email said it was on September 7th. The boys were excited, but they were also a little nervous….
It was finally September 7th, Pros versus Knights. The stadium was filled with excitement! The Knights started with the ball, and they went forward, but Luke stole the ball and passed it to Messi. He did a chop, then he passed it to Ronaldo, and then Ronaldo scored a goal against the Knights 43 minutes into the game. Then the Knights scored their own goal in the 67th minute, and in the 90th minute, Messi got fouled. So the Pros got a penalty. Messi lined up to take the shot, and he scored! The Pros won 2-1!
