How the characters looked like.

Chapter 1: About Gertrude.

Hi, my name is Gertrude. I don't like the name, but at the same time, I think its cool. My house is kind of boring on the outside, but in the inside, its cool and nice. Just like my personality. People see me as strange and normal, but I'm an exploding extravaganza in the inside! What I'm trying to say is that, I'm fun, crazy, and colorful. One of the people that are the only ones who know about my hidden personality is my best friend. Her name is Clarice. My parents and my little brother know about it too. My mom's always trying to push me to show who I really am. Especially at school, which over there my reputation's low. Maybe when I'm all grown up I'll do it...... yeah, maybe it will be too late.

Chapter 2: At School.

Its the first of October, my favorite month of the year. That's because in 30 days its Halloween. I like candy, but that's not the part I'm excited about. I love dressing up, but I don't show that in school or to my parents. Practically, I show that to Clarice a lot since she likes to dress up too. Now its time for one of the things that I don't enjoy during this month. Angel. Immediately when I get to school, she comes right up to me and says, "Hello Gertrude. Haha, everytime I say your name I laugh. Haha." Of course she would laugh. That's one of the things I don't like about my name. Most people laugh at it. Even my brother! Then there's another part I don't like. "I'm going to host a Halloween party at the end of 

this month and you're not going to be invited. Goodbye, Gertrude. Hahahaha!" She walks away and some students nearby laughed too. My face is red, but at the same time it doesn't bother me. I already knew what she was going to say. She's been hosting Halloween parties ever since 2nd grade and she doesn't invite me. Not at all. I would give away all my Halloween candy for just going to one Halloween party. I can't just be doing trick or treat. I could even show some of my greatest costumes that I have and made. Maybe that will happen one day. For now, I've got to pay attention to class. But that still doesn't stop me from giving a cold glare to a student who threw a crumbled piece of paper to me. It happens every time. 

Chapter 3: The New Car.

Finally! The school bell rang and I'm zooming back home like Sonic. When I'm close to my house, I see a car in front of it. It isn't my family's car, so I wondered what it was doing there. I entered my house just to receive a splash from my brother. "Rodrick! Who plays with water balloons in October? Its getting cold!" Rodrick smiles and hits me with another balloon. "My real target wasn't you. It was supposed to be the new car out front, but mom and dad wouldn't allow me." I look out the window to see the car. I guess that's the new car. I go upstairs and dry myself. Then I change into my regular clothes. While I'm doing all that, I'm wondering about the car. The car is a light blue and its shiny and sparkly. I like how it looks like, but 

something about it gives me the creeps. I know that sounds ridiculous and that's why I didn't tell my brother. Its just a car, so why do I feel like that? After dinner, I go upstairs and get ready for bed. Its only 6:45, but I want to go up early. There's nothing happening that I should wake up early for, so why did I do that? During the time I was wondering, I felt my eyes close. Then I fell asleep.

Chapter 4: Strange things during the night.

I woke up. I look at my clock and its only 10:37. Why I woke up is because I heard a loud banging noise. Who would be making a lot of racket during this time? I get up and look out my window. The cars not there. I thought that my dad was just moving the car somewhere else and he's the one making the noise. As I was about to go back to sleep, I hear footsteps. Then, I heard cackling. Something weird is going on. I have no choice, but to investigate. I searched through the empty hallways. All's good, nothing bad is happening. I hear the cackling again and its getting closer. The footsteps are getting closer too. Too scared to investigate anymore, I run to my room and lock the door. Its a bit childish for me to do that, but 

I had just freaked out. I calm myself down by brushing my hair. That technique soothes me, for example, when Angel embarrasses me in the cafeteria. I decide not to think of that and go back to sleep. Before I do, I catch a glimpse of a white streak in my hair on my mirror. I want to look at it more, but I'm too tired to get up. And with that, I fall asleep again.

Chapter 5: All white. 

A ray of sunshine makes me wake up. I had a good dream. I just overreacted last night. It was probably just my imagination. I still have some part of childhood in my mind. I still play with toys. Don't tell my brother or else he'll go babbling it to everyone. Maybe he'll tell it to Angel. That would be too far. Then my reputation at school will be even worse. Its already bad like that. I stretch a little and then I see a white figure my mirror. I step closer to it and it follows my movements. I look at myself. My clothes are the same, but my skin is whiter than before and my hair is not brown anymore. Its white too! I touch the mirror and my fingers go through it. I really don't want too, but I scream. Then, I faint.

Chapter 6: The Hospital. 

I wake up again. I'm not in my bedroom. I'm in a type of room, like the one that I saw my mom in when she was giving birth to Rodrick. Oh no. I'm in the hospital. I'm guessing that my parents heard my screaming and rushed over to my bedroom, just to see me passed out. My family comes in. "Honey, are you ok?" asked my mom. "Yeah, but I don't think it was necessary for you to take me to the hospital. I'm ok." I said that because I don't want them to know that I was white. A nurse comes in. "Give the patient some space, ok? It looks like you woke up. Are you feeling ok?" I nod. That's all I can do. "I called your teacher about what happened. Do you feel fine enough to go to school, or do you want to stay back 

home?" asked my dad. "I feel fine enough to go to school. I'll be ok." I actually did not want to say that. Of course I feel ok, but there's something that will happen if I go to school. 

Chapter 7: I can't believe it.

I just came back from school and I'm a volcano who's exploding a lot! What I'm trying to say is....... I can't believe it! When I got to school, I saw Angel hanging out with Mac! He's just someone I like and there's no reason to be that upset about it, but there's a big, big reason! Mac is one of the cool boys at my school and he's one of the people in school who talk to me a lot. I'm pretty lucky for that to always happen, but there's another thing that happens. Most times when I'm talking to Mac, Angel interrupts our chat. She likes him too, so that's one of the reasons why I don't like her. At the cafeteria, I saw her talking to Mac and she was really close to him. That made me want to yell! When Mac wasn't looking, she spotted

me and gave me a devious smile. I think she found out that I was being absent for a while, so she used that as a chance to hang out with Mac for almost the whole school day! I'm just so mad! I better make sure that this doesn't happen again. I think that it deals with what happened last night. I called Clarice to come over at nighttime. She doesn't know why, but she agrees to. 

Chapter 8: Investigating.

Its 9:00. Right now I would be asleep, but I want to solve this case. I tell Clarice the operation. I don't tell her everything. I just tell her what happened last night. "Oh, so you think something strange was going on last night. Well, that's... um..." Clarice is acting suspicious right now, but I don't care. "Alright, you check in the house and I'll check outside." I actually wanted to check the house, since that's where I heard some strange things, but I just want to go outside for some reason. Maybe I want to get some fresh air. As I walk outside my house, I feel a type of breeze. Its like someone just ran past me. Its hard and it made my hair blows in the wind a lot. That's strange. Its not really chilly tonight. Then, I see it.

Chapter 9: Ghost Car.

I don't believe it. Its a car, but its floating. It kind of looks like the new car that my family got. The car is white, but it glistens silver in the moonlight. As I continue to watch the car, I see its about to hit a tree nearby. I wait for it to crash, but it goes right through the tree. That's crazy! It must be a ghost car...... and it appears on October which Halloween is in? That's double crazy. The car stops. It turns round to face me. I freeze when the car goes towards me. I prepare to run, but then the car says, "Hello Gertrude." Ok, now I want to run and scream because there's a talking ghost car! "Don't run away. I'm nice." Its like that car can read my mind. "Ok, I won't run, but why are you here?" Now I won't believe it. I talking to

a car. My imagination has gotten the best of me. "My names Carl and I'm your family's car. I'm a ghost car." I knew it! Not that I know that they exist, but that I thought it was a ghost car. "You're my family's car? That's just crazy." I'm like laughing right now. "I know that sounds odd, but its true. Your family has had a connection with ghosts for years. They're not ghosts, but they can turn into one. Like you. You're a ghost." I stop laughing.

Chapter 10: Ghost Girl

"You're kidding, right?" I'm forcing myself to laugh, but my belly's in a knot right now. "Its true. You're the only one in your family who can turn into a ghost." I'm done with forcing myself to laugh. "Ok, now I think I'm in a dream." The car shakes its head, at least I think it did. Cars have no heads! "Ok, then prove it." The car touches me and I feel it. My body becomes white again and I'm floating this time. "Woah, I've always wanted to fly!.... Not that I think I'm a ghost." The car laughs. At least it feels like it. "See? Its cool, but at the same time it feels a little....." "Weird?" I know I interrupted him, but he did want to pause for me to say it. "Exactly. Weird. But I think its mostly cool." It is mostly cool, but why didn't my

parents tell me all about this? I think I'll ask them tomorrow. For now, I'm feeling sleepy. I say goodbye to Carl and go back into my house to tell Clarice that the operation is off. She's acting too suspicious right now, but I'm too tired to know why. After she leaves, I go right to bed without waking up again for the rest of the night.

Chapter 11: We have to talk. 

I go downstairs and see my mom and dad near the stairs. Its like they're waiting for me. My theory is about to be proved when my mom says, "Honey, we need to talk." I knew it. I sit down with my parents in the living room. "What is it that you want to talk to me about?" The mom and dad both gave each other serious faces and then gave me a serious face. "You know that new car that we brought. You see..." "I know. Its a ghost car. Its name is Carl. We've had some sort of connection with ghosts for the past few generations." There I go again, interrupting people. I hardly do that. "Ok, we know that you already knew. Carl told us about that in our dreams. We thought that you thought it was a dream. We just wanted to 

make sure you didn't think it was a dream. Your friend Clarice already knew." I'm confused right now. "What do you mean she already knew?" My parents are quiet. "I think that's what she meant that she's not ready to tell you yet." My dad said that. He's always blabs stuff out. Right now, its useful information. I take my bag and go to school. Clarice hardly keeps secrets from me. There better be an explanation for this.

Chapter 12: My friend's secret.

I'm running/walking in my school right now. I'm running because I need to find Clarice before my first class starts and I'm half walking because we're not supposed to run in the hallway. I see Clarice taking her books out of her locker nearby. "Hi Clarice," I say to Clarice the friendliest way I can because she might be hiding something from me and I wouldn't like that. "Hi. So, um...." I know that pause. Its the one she uses when she's about to blurt something out. This is it. She leans in close to me to whisper shout, "I know you a ghost. I'm a witch." I was expecting myself to be frozen, but I'm not. Instead I whisper back to her, "How did you know?" Then she whispers back to me, "I've known ever since I met 

you." Well that's a surprise. "I have an idea. Let's get back at Angel. You know what she did yesterday? Well, I think she should regret she did that. Now that you know that I'm a witch, we can use this as an advantage. Are you with me?" I'm not sure what she meant, but as long as we get revenge, I'm in. "Sure. So, what's the plan?"

Chapter 13: The Prank.

I came back from school a little late because of the prank that me and Clarice did. It was awesome! At the cafeteria, I told Angel about a legend. It's not true because I made it up. Its the Legend of the Knower. If some happens that is not right, the Knower will haunt the person that made the thing happen on purpose. Angel of course didn't believe it, but she didn't know what she was in for. When school ended, me and Clarice hid all of Angel's stuff in the the school. It would take her not too long to find everything, because back in 3rd grade, she was like a champion at hide and seek. That gave us enough time to lock the school door. Thats when things will get really scary enough for Angel to get scared. And she really was
