One day Santa Claus decides to fly to snowy Britain to discover the British Christmas traditions. He hops on his sleigh into the night sky.
As he lands in a small town, he sees the beautiful snowflakes falling from the sky. He looks around and sees that the houses are decorated with twinkling lights, holly, and ivy. He has never seen anything like it before.
"Ho Ho Ho" says Santa. "It looks like the British people know how to celebrate Christmas."
As he walks around, he sees people baking mince pies, a traditional British Christmas treat. He is curious, so he asks a friendly lady what they are. “Mince pies” she replies. “They are a Christmas tradition. Would you like to try one?”
They look
delicious!
Santa takes a bite and exclaims: "Delicious!".
As he continues his journey, he learns about the tradition of putting up stockings on Christmas Eve.
“Oh, that’s a great idea” says Santa. “I’ll have to remember that for my own Christmas Eve!”
On Christmas Day, Santa sees families gathered around the table for a big Christmas lunch. The table is filled with roast turkey, potatoes, vegetables, and gravy. "This looks amazing" says Santa. "May I join you?"
