Tim is a kind boy. He loves winter and skiing. Snow makes him happy.

One cold day, Tim wants to go outside. He puts on his puffy jacket, his woollen hat, his boots and his scarf. Tim steps outside and the chilly winter air nips at his nose. He quickly pulls up the zipper on his warm jacket. Snowflakes gently fall from the sky, covering everything in a soft, white blanket.

Tim goes to the ski slope. He loves the fresh snow. He sees a boy there. "Hi there " Tim says. "Need some help?"

"Yes, please" the boy says, looking relieved. "I can't seem to get the ski boots on right." The boy has no warm clothes. He shivers in the cold. Tim feels very worried.

Tim helps the boy with his boots; he notices that the boy is shivering in his thin jacket. "Are you cold?" he asks kindly. The boy nods.

"You must be freezing" Tim says. "You should wear a hat, gloves and a scarf like mine."

"I'm Jack" says the boy. "I lost my winter clothes" he explains. Tim wants to help.

"You can have my scarf" Tim offers. He wraps the scarf around Jack's neck. Jack smiles warmly.
