Mya's mom is on her way home to tell Mya some great news.

Mya just got home from her school day. She gets off the school bus and sees her mother waiting for her.

"How was school?" Mom asked. "It was great," Mya said. Mya's mother then goes on to tell her that they are going on vacation.

We are going on vacation for the summer.

Mya proceeds to take her bath to get ready for her last day of school tomorrow. She is upset she has to leave her friends for the first week of summer.

Mya is ready to see her new friends but she is sad to tell them she will be leaving for the first week of summer.

I'm going to miss them

After waking up, Mya gets ready for her last day of first grade. She is still thinking what her friends would say.

Mom shouted, "Mya, the school bus is here. Hurry up." Mya said, "I'm coming right now, mom."

"See you after school Mya, have a great day" mom said. With nervousness, Mya shouted, "Bye, mom, see you later."

After getting off the school bus, Mya meets up with her new friends at the school.
