How can you assess a person?

Is it by the clothes they wear,

How well they can tie their shoe,

Or the way they style their hair?

I can give you a clue.

Students are more than one score.

Their minds are an ocean,

Leaving much more to explore.

Looking at a test score is too thin.

We must think past the lessons

And focus on the true intentions. 

Sure, a score can reveal if they are above or below,

But students shouldn't be ranked this way.

They have much more to show.

A student doesn't just learn to the test.

They learn life skills, manners, collaboration,

One score shouldn't have them this stressed.

Their overall progress deserves celebration.

A year's worth to show in just one hour,

That should be considered a real superpower.
