MAYDAY, MAYDAY

Flight 918 was a routine transatlantic flight from New York to London, carrying 250 passengers and crew. The Airbus A350 took off smoothly, and the passengers settled in for the overnight journey. Among them were a renowned scientist heading to a conference, a musician on tour, and a family reuniting with relatives in England.
About four hours into the flight, the tranquility was disrupted by a sudden, loud bang. The plane shuddered, and the lights flickered. The captain’s voice came over the intercom, calm but urgent.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain. We have encountered a serious mechanical issue. Please remain calm and follow our crew's instructions.”
The captain urgently addressed the passengers as the plane's engine deteriorated further, announcing over the intercom that they should brace themselves for an emergency water landing.
The aircraft violently impacted the water, causing it to split in two upon impact. Following the crash, the captain immediately deployed an emergency lifeboat.
As the storm clouds begin to gather, a sense of foreboding fills the air. The sky takes on a dark, ominous hue, and the wind gains strength, whipping through the landscape. The atmosphere becomes laden with the imminent arrival of rain, and soon, the first droplets descend, swiftly transforming into a torrential downpour.
Then, one of the passengers exclaimed that immense mountains were visible in the distance. They directed their life raft towards the aforementioned mountains.

As the survivors rowed their lifeboat toward what they believed to be mountains, they soon realized that something was amiss; they were not approaching mountains, but rather a colossal tsunami.
Before long, it became too late to respond, and the immense waves began to crash down, almost drowning them and leaving all the survivors isolated and stranded in the midst of the ocean.
