Penny wakes up this morning feeling warm and cozy. 

When she peeks out the window, Penny bounces out of bed. It’s snowing!

Penny dashes outside into the snow and tastes the cold snowflakes on her tongue. 

After Penny runs in the snow, she hears a light chewing sound. It's a squirrel! 

It runs away at the sound of her paws crunching in the snow.

Penny was having so much fun that she wanted to play with her sister. She has an idea and runs inside.

Penny nudges her sister Lola to come in the snow. Lola shakes her head “no” and goes back to sleep. 

Penny steps back into the cold wintery air and decides to go exploring.

She looks in front of her and sees the woods looking magical.The perfect adventure! Penny thinks.

As she treks through the woods, the snow becomes deeper. It is no longer light fluffy powder and she was now sinking.

Woof, Woof!

As Lola is resting, she wakes up at the sound of Penny's bark.

Lola steps into the cold air. She thinks this is not how I pictured my snow day, and heads to save Penny.

Lola follows the sound of the bark and sees Penny stuck.
