The pig woke up and snuffled around,
There was sure to be breakfast somewhere on the
ground. A few acorns here, an apple core there,
cabbage leaves, banana skins and a half-eaten pear.
With dirt and straw stuck to his nose and
bits of old food in between his small toes,
the pig's mouth was full as he crammed more food
in and the fruit juice just ran down his little pink
chin.

The duck quacked “Good morning” and waddling
along, it stopped sniffed the air and asked “Phew!
What's that pong?”
The munching pig oinked “Well don’t look at me!
I’m having my breakfast of leftover tea.”
The duck asked the pig “When did you last wash?”
The pig ignored the nosy duck and finished off his
nosh.

“I did try washing once” Said the pink pig to the
duck, “I’ve tried to find a place to wash but haven’t
had much luck.”
The duck then asked the pongy pig “have you
thought about using the pond?”
The pig told the duck he hadn’t thought of that so
the two of them walked along.

The duck swam into the water and quacked at the
pig to get in. The pig shivered on the side of the
pond. Would he sink or would he swim?

The pig tried to wash but just splashed the duck,
“You see, said the pig, I don’t have any luck.”
The duck got out and shook himself dry
He had to admit the pig did have a try.
The pond just wasn’t the right place for the pink
pig to get clean and he still smelled very, very bad
if you know what I mean!

So the duck took the pig on a trip to a shop
that sold bubbles and bath salts that might make
the smell stop. There were bottles of clear blue
liquid and some of cloudy green, there were more
bottles here in just one shop than the pig had ever
seen.
