Hi, my name is Noah

I am 5 and 1/2 years old and I like toys

Last week I was playing Barbie but my daddy took it away and
said, "Boy's don't play with dolls"

He says this to me a lot

I played dress up with my sister and he walked in
and said, "Boy's don't play dress up"

I watched Dora the Explorer and
he said, "Boy's don't watch Dora
the Explorer"

I also did arts and crafts with my sister, and again
he said, "Boy's don't do arts and crafts"

I like to spend time with my sister because she really
understands me

My daddy really confuses me; he makes me do things
that I don't like to do, like basketball, football and listen
to Rock and Roll music

...Ten Years Later...

Now I do what my dad wants me to do

I watch action movies and football with him all
the time

I made varsity football and basketball as a freshman, and even
started my own Rock and Roll Band

My friends at school are considered the jocks
because we are the best at sports

On the weekends I hang out with girls, drink alcohol,
and do drugs

Lately I have been drinking a lot more because my mother
is sick and I have no other outlet to escape the pain

Since my sister is away at college, I feel like I have
no one to talk to about it

I am not able to act like myself, like the way I did when
I was younger
