Overviewing

Social media is a medium that provide many things to human for their works and studies. In addition, it an apps that mostly everyone used for sharing their life, researching information and find new knowledge. In this report, three students are done making a group discussion video and post it on Youtube. The video that shown on 4th November 2024 is about how social media can shape our experience and culture. This video mentioned about applications that apply in our life. Besides that, they also promoting Malaysian cultural to worldwide. They also gave example life experiences using social media like Tiktok and how affected positive and negative comment in her life.

Promoting Malaysian Cultural

Iman think that social media is a greatful tools that we can share everythings on Tiktok, Whatsapp and Instagram. Iman shared opinion about what we actually need to do to make everyone knows about our culture to worldwide. She said that when we post on social media about Malaysian culture, people from other countries will know us. This is one way to encourage them to come to Malaysia and try some foods made from Malaysia.

Favourite Applications

Irdina thought that social media is a platform and medium that everyone used and sharing their life. She said that her favourite app is Tiktok. This is because she usually saw viral videos on Tiktok. Sometimes, there are some influencers who like to share new things and viral foods. Irdina love watching something that trending. Although, she said that we can create a short video about

Malaysian cultural and post it on Tiktok. Tiktok is a medium that everyone used and the most fast apps go viral. In that video, she mentioned that the publicity crew can share about Malaysian cultural activities such as Kereta Api Sarong.

Experience Using Social Media

Ain sharing her experience using Tiktok. She used to share learning materials and she got lots of feedback. However, she said that she sometimes got positive and negative comments. However, all those comments are motivates her and new knowledge to her to improve her contents and think it just advice to her. Moreover, another point is exchange cultural. We can look how Korean cultural are famous in Malaysia. For example, their traditional foods like kimchi and spicy foods. This is how cultural can spread to the world.

Conclusion

All in all, we need to put efforts to promote Malaysian cultural. The reason why we need to share our cultural too is to embrace multiculturalism as a source of strength and cohesion.
