Sara, why are people still hungry if we’re producing so much food?

Good question, Max. The issue is that food distribution is uneven. A lot of food gets wasted, and many people don’t have access to nutritious options.

It’s huge! And more than that, millions of people are missing essential vitamins and minerals. Over two billion people have what’s called micronutrient deficiencies.

Can’t we just grow better food?

We’re making progress with new farming techniques, like gene editing, to improve crops. But it's not just about growing more food—it’s about sustainable practices. Poor farming harms the environment, which affects future food production.
