Why is recycling important? Recycling can help preserve our natural resources, protect wildlife, reduce pollution, minimize the amount of trash in landfills, and conserve energy! 

The process of recycling is taking materials that are ready to be thrown away or trash, and changing them into reusable materials. Recycling gives trash a new purpose! So, how can you recycle?

First: You can recycle trash at home by separating your trash into containers for plastic, paper or cardboard, and metals or aluminum. Then you and your parents can take the separate containers to a landfill near you to have the items repurposed.

Another way to recycle is to use the materials you are going to throw away to build something new. You can make many artistic pieces with recyclable items!
