Anne likes reading books and using her imagination. 

Her favorite food is grilled cheese and she likes the color green. 

Anne has anxiety.  

This is Anxiety. 

Anxiety makes people worry a lot- even when there is nothing wrong! 

Anxiety can make you grumpy, have a hard time sleeping at night, and make it hard for you to pay attention.

Anxiety is invisible in real life!

Anne needs to go to the store, but Anxiety makes her scared to leave her house.  

What if she gets a flat tire on her way to the store? 

What if she forgets her wallet at home? 

What if she leaves a candle lit while she's gone and a fire starts? 

Anne's anxiety makes her feel sad.

Scared.

Alone. 

Anne doesn't like her anxiety but doesn't know how to make it go away.  

Anne goes to the doctor to see if they can help.

They give her some medicine and suggest she see a therapist to talk about her anxiety.

With the help of medicine and talking with a therapist, Anne learns new ways to manage her anxiety. 

Anne starts to feel better.

Anne battles her anxiety every day. 

Some days are easy, and others are hard. 

But Anne knows that it's okay to ask for help and that she is never alone. 

Anne has anxiety, but Anne is brave. 

Anne lived happily ever after!
