It was a normal day in Bay View middle school.

Where no child in class was dumber than a mule.

The teacher gave out projects,

 while no one cared.

The project next to Roslyn's desk was set with James's stare,

The project that stood tall like his hair.

James hated Roslyn because she was smart.

She was always stealing his spotlight, he didn't know where to start!

Roslyn was great at math, art and sports,

she was a master at all sorts!

Although she is pretty and kind,

she made James's teeth grind

2 weeks passed, and day after day

The projects due date finally came into play.

Roslyn's project was all proper and neat,

while James's project was down in a heap.

"She has to be cheating!" He cried with despair,

"It's too good for her! It's not fair, not fair!"

As soon as she stepped away from the report,

James came closer and let out a snort

Although James was never the type to be rude,

he couldn't help it! She always ruined his mood.

An idea formed, though it was mean,

It was necessary to bring down the self appointed queen.

He swiped her project, and with an inky pen

Scribbled all over it, again and again.

He swatted and scribbled and wrecked and reaped,

until, just like his, her project was just a heap.

The Bell rang, and the next period came.

And the final project was due, it was no game!

As Roslyn took her final project out of her folder

She encountered a problem the size of a boulder.

"Someone ruined my project!" Roslyn exclaimed,

While James sat right behind her, snickering with no shame.
