John lived in a small town where nothing exciting ever happened. His mom was kind but sometimes what John thought was mean. One evening, she told him he couldn’t go outside after dark. They had an argument, and John went to bed frustrated.

That night, John heard a strange sound, a train whistle. He looked out his window and saw a golden glow near the old, abandoned train tracks. Curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to sneak out.

When John reached the station, he couldn’t believe his eyes. A glowing, golden train stood on the tracks.

The train door opened, and a friendly man in a green button-up shirt stepped out. “Hi there, I’m Doug,” he said with a big smile. “This train takes you to the future. Want to see where your choices might lead?”

John slowly nodded. Doug led him aboard. Inside, the train was magical, with glowing walls and soft golden seats. “Let’s get started,” Doug said, pulling a lever.

The train stopped at a restaurant. John stepped out and saw an older version of himself working at a small bakery. He looked happy. His mom was there too, sitting at a table happily.

“Is this really my future?” John asked. Doug nodded. 

“This is one possible future. You work hard, take care of the people you love."
