Folktale from Colombia

In Colombia, it is said that it has to do with a love betrayal, because they say that a beautiful woman was married to a hard-working farmer who was dedicated to selling his boss's crops, since the tenant's wife had 3 children. Taking advantage of the farmer's absence, the boss flirted with the beautiful woman and she was not indifferent to his compliments and gifts; the neighbors noticed and one day they told her husband everything.

The next morning the farmer decided to pretend he was going to sell his harvest outside the village, but he waited hidden near the house. At dusk he suddenly entered and found the lovers embracing in bed. Full of rage, the farmer furiously unsheathed his machete, threw himself at them and cut off the boss's head with a single blow of the machete. The woman, shocked and horrified, tried to run away, but the enraged husband cut off one of her legs with a single blow of the machete, causing her death.
