Its been almost a month since
Jamie left. Jason missed her a lot. He wish she
would come back already.
It was only September. Most of the time he
worked along side his brothers at the
sawmill to keep his mind off her, Jack, and
Charlie. He missed the Charlie the most. He hoped
Charlie would come back to the north. He was
rich now after
that incident with the guy, Big Alex McDonald,
who struck it rich.

Jason went to the dock and lade down at the
end starring up at the sky, after 15 minutes he
fell asleep by accident. he woke up and hour
later thrashing around. He was in the water! He
pushed up and grabbed on to the dock, as he
was pulling himself out of the water he was
greeted by Charlies eager smile.
"Charlie!" Jason exclaimed.
"Hello Friend!" Charlie said in his usual
manner, but a bit fancier. Is this a rendezvous?
Jason asked himself.

Charlie looked different. He has a prosthetic
leg, he's gotten taller, and his hair is a lot
longer than he remembered. Once Jason had
completely pulled himself out of the water he
went to hug Charlie. Almost immediately
Charlie backed up.
"Your all wet!" Charlie said still backing up.
"Well, how did I get in the water?" Jason
asked, a little irritated. Charlie was dry as a
bone.
"You rolled in as I was walking up." Said
Charlie defensively.

They walked back to the wood mill so Jason
could dry off. As they're walking Charlie
found a coin, a penny, he shrugged and put in
his pocket for good luck.
"what ya got there?" Ask Jason.
"A penny, it's suppose to be good luck." They
had been walking slow, and there were some
gales as they talked so by the time they got
there Jason was already dried off. they decided
to go to bed. Jason had gone into a storage
room to get a calico they had for Charlie to
use as a blanket, Jason had gave him
permission to sleep on the couch.
