There once was a stubborn 

horse named Cocoa. He was 

going on a walk one day and he 

ran into a bear. The bear said, 

"Hello horse! Do you want to go 

on a walk with me?" Cocoa 

shook his head no and sat 

down. The bear said to him,

"You are as stubborn as a 

mule!" When the bear left, 

Cocoa stood back up and 

started to walk down the path. 

This time, he ran into a 

butterfly. The butterfly said to 

him, "Do you want to come 

with me? I am looking for 

flowers!" 

Cocoa shook his head no and he sat 

down. He waited for the butterfly to 

flutter away, then he stood back up 

and walked down the path. He ran 

into a fox. "Come on horsehead! I 

want you to help me look for food 

you silly horsey," said the fox. Cocoa 

shook his head no and sat down. He

waited for the fox to run away, 

then he stood up and started 

walking down the path. As he 

was walking down the path, he 

felt kind of bad about himself. 

The bear he bumped into said 

that he was as stubborn as a 

mule!

Cocoa kept walking. He 

eventually bumped into a rabbit! 

The rabbit said to Cocoa, "Hello 

stubborn horsey! I was watching 

you. I seen you sit down when 

the bear asked you to walk with 

him, I seen you sit down when 

the butterfly asked you if you 

could
