Today was Dave's big day, the day he had been
waiting for for a very long time. It was the day
of his first karate competition, and he was sure
he was going to win. There was only one
problem: his sister, Carrie.

Carrie was supposed to take Dave to his karate
competition, but she was taking much too long
to get ready. Dave was sure he was going to be
late on his first day, all thanks to his sister.
Dave wished he could just go without her.

Dave left the room feeling very angry. He
thought to himself, "Well, why can't I go
without her? I don't need Carrie." He decided
he would leave without his sister and find his
own way to the competition.

Dave walked outside. He realized he didn't
know where he was going. He looked left and
right and tried to remember which way to go.
His mom had gone right when she took him to
practice... or was it left? He decided to try
going right.

passing this before...

Dave found himself in a strange park. He didn't
recognize the park. He was sure his mother had
never passed it. Dave began to worry, but he
kept walking. He had to get to his competition.

this was a good idea?

Dave should not have gone right. He went the
wrong way. Dave was completely lost.

And then, out of nowhere, three strange,
orange creatures appeared. One was an alien,
one was a robot, and one was a snake. Dave
was very scared. He didn't know where the little
orange creatures had come from. He didn't
know that they were only there to help.

I'm an axon! I carry signals
away from the cell body in
your brain. I told you it was
a good idea to try to go to the
competition by yourself.
Your body listened with the
help of my friends. Sorry!

I'm a dendrite. I detect the
signals Axel sends me. I carry
them to the cell body. I helped
Axel get you lost. Sorry, man.
