My name is Barack Obama,
I'm the President of the United States.

Obama is the leader of our nation, and is a

family man. The First Lady is Michelle Obama,

and they have two daughters.

The President and and his family are known as the First Family. They
live in the White House. The White House is located in Washington
D.C., this is our nations capital. It is located on the east coast of the
United States in-between Virginia and Maryland.

Obama is the 44th president of the United States

of America. He is apart of the Democratic Party.

He is the first African American President in the

U.S.

Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.
He won this based off of his extraordinary
efforts to strengthen cooperation between peoples
of our country and the world. He is the 4th
president to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

Obama has been the President of the United States

since January 20, 2009 and is still currently the

president. His 2nd term will end on November 8, 2016.

Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961

in Honolulu Hawaii. Honolulu is the capital of

Hawaii, and Hawaii is one on the 50 states.

The United States has 3 branches of Government: the Executive,
the Legislative, and the Judicial. The President is apart of the
Executive branch. He is both the head of state and head of
government of the U.S. and the Commander-in-Chief of the
Armed Forces.

The Presidents job has many parts. He enforces laws, court rulings,
and treaties.He develops policies, approves or vetoes acts of
congress, sets goals for the amount of money our country should
spend, and appoints federal officials. He is the only one who has
the right to send troops to war.
