Once upon a time there was a kid named Jeff.
Jeff was a good little boy until he was naughty
and went in his back yard by himself!! Right
when he stepped outside a cat jumped out of
nowhere and bit him on the arm.

Jeff started to have pain in his muscles, psychological
anxiety, muscle spasms, behavioral aggression and
rage, whole body nausea, fever, loss of appetite,
dizziness and fatigue. He also commonly had
headaches, excess salivation, stiff neck, restlessness,
seizures, mental confusion, sensitivity to light, pins
and needles, dilated pupils, difficulty swallowing,
drooling, and vomiting.

When Jeff went to the doctor the doctor said that he
had rabies. He said that rabies attack the brain and
spinal cord. It is shaped like a bullet and when it
enters the body it makes its way to the spinal cord
through the nervous system. Once the virus gets
into the spinal cord it goes straight to the brain,
where it begins replicating itself inside the mind's
nerve cells, destroying them in the process.

When he got home he did some research on rabies and
found out that rabies are caused by the rabies virus
and spreads through saliva of infected animals. It can
also spread by being bitten by an infected animal. The
human death tolls from rabies have declined from over
one hundred annually to two per year in the US.
Worldwide, rabies results in more than 55,000 deaths
per year. Rabies are always fatal if left untreated. Once
you start experiencing the symptoms there is barely
any hope.

When they got home his mom was scared to death. So
she also did some research and found out that the
immune system reacts as soon as the person is bitten,
but she did not find out how the immune system
responds and what immune systems are involved in
fighting off the disease.
