where the dredging is to happen.

Once upon the Queensland Coast there was a 

beautiful coral reef, it was called The Great 

Barrier Reef...

“ Hi,I’m Perchuna the Green Sea Turtle and 

I want you to come on the journey with my 

friends and I and we will show you how we 

saved the Great Barrier Reef”

It was a beautiful summer day and the 

water was nice and warm and Kiki and 

Zoey were down at the wharf. 

“ Kiki, it’s a perfect day to go snorkeling” 

said Zoey excitedly as she packed up the 

boat for the day's snorkeling.  

“ Great idea” exclaimed Kiki as she grabbed 

her towel and jumped in to the boat. They 

started off towards the Great Barrier Reef.

Under the water Perchuna was playing sea 

soccer with her friends Danny the Dugong 

and Catherine the Clown fish. One of the 

dolphins came and interrupted their game 

and told them that they found a boat 

coming towards the reef.

“ Do you know who is on the boat?” said 

Danny

“ It's our friends from the land, Kiki and 

Zoey” Zoomer said excitedly 

“ Look there is a pod of dolphins” pointed 

out Kiki

“ Good spotting Kiki” said Zoey

Perchuna and the others swam up to the boat and 

Kiki and Zoey were amazed. 

“ Wow” they both breathed

“   Let's snorkel with them” said Zoey

“ Great idea” said Kiki

“ Are they coming to snorkeling?” said Catherine 

“ Yes” said Zoomer

After the snorkeling they were heading back and 

they saw a big crane with a digger on the end. 

“ Oh no” said Zoey sadly

“ They are going to dredge this spot aren’t they” 

Kiki said nervously 

“ We have to stop them” they both said.

"I think we think we are more important than 

all the money we wont to make" said Zoey
