Once upon a time there lived a King, Queen and
their only son Adam. The King and Queen were
always to busy for him so they gave him
whatever he wanted. He became a spoiled and
selfish child. One day when he was young his
parents went away on business but they never
returned. Little Adam inherited the castle, the
estate and all of the servants. On Adam's
twenty first birthday there was a knock on the
castle door. When Adam opened it an old lady
was standing there with a rose.
The old lady wanted to trade him a rose for
food. Adam laughed in her face "I don't want
your flower hag." The old lady was not actually
an old lady but an Enchantress. She turned
Adam into a beast when she saw how selfish he
was. She left behind an enchanted rose. If the
prince did not find true love before the last rose
petal fell, he would remain a beast forever.
In a near by village a young girl named Belle
was on her way to the village book shop. Belle
lived a simple life. When she was little her
mother taught her to love books and the
adventures in each one. Sadly her mother died
when she was six but she lives with her father,
Maurice, who is an inventor. Belle dreamed of
having her own adventure some day. She
always had her nose in a book and her head in
the clouds.
Belle found just the book she was looking for at
the book shop but on her way out she was
stopped by Gaston. Gaston was very vain and
rude. He liked Belle but Belle didn't like Gaston.
Gaston had a crazy idea to ask Belle to marry
him. Belle rejected Gaston and made him upset
with her and she new that would not be the last
of him. Belle went home to her father, Maurice,
who was about to take his latest invention, a
wood chopper, to a contest at the county fair.
Maurice set off to the fair but got lost on the
way. It started to pour down rain and it was
very cold out. Maurice looked for cover only to
stumble into a wolf pack. Maurice ran for his life
but then he saw a old castle. He ran inside the
castle and shut the large doors. Maurice turned
around and a huge Beast stood in front of him.
The Beast hated visitors, he just wanted to be
left alone, and he also had a bad temper. He
grabbed Maurice and threw him in the dungeon.
Belle waited and waited for her father to return
but when he didn't she got scared that
something happened to him. Belle decided to
go looking for him. She walked the path he
would have taken but then she spied an old
castle. She thought he took shelter from the
storm in there and he might be just fine. She
went up to the large castle and went inside. she
herd her father calling for help so she ran to
find him. He was locked in the dungeon.
The Beast entered and saw Belle, he threatened
to lock her up to. Belle begged the Beast to
release her father but he refused. Then Belle
asked if he would trade her for him. "Set my
father free and take me instead" begged Belle.
The Beast agreed to the trade and threw Belle
in the dungeon and released her father. Belle
was sad that she would never see her father
again but she new she did the right thing.
The Beast decided since Belle was going to live
there he would give her a tour of the house and
her own room. The Beast showed her most of the
house except the left wing of the house. "Never
go to the left wing, EVER!" warned the Beast.
Belle was curious why she wasn't aloud in the left
wing but before she could ask a clock, a candle
and tea pot walked in. Belle was astonished but
then when they greeted her she was amazed.
Mrs.Potts was the tea pot, Chip, her son, was a
cup, Lumiere was a candelabrum, and Cogsworth
is a pendulum clock.
The Beast showed Belle her room and told her
she would be coming to dinner. At dinnertime
Belle refused to come out which made the
Beast roar with anger. The Beast hoped Belle
would be the girl to break the spell. Madame
Armoire tried to reason with Belle but Belle is
stubborn. Belle later that night got hungry so
she went to go find some food and peek around
the castle. On her way to the kitchen she ran
into Lumiere and Cogsworth who helped her
find something to eat.
After dinner Belle decided to see what was in
the west wing. As she walked around she saw
everything was dusty and destroyed. There was
huge claw marks all over. She entered an old
bed room and inside there was a glowing rose
on a pedestal with a glass cover. Belle was
curious so she lifted the glass and then the
Beast burst in furiously. He roared "Get out!" at
Belle. Belle was scared and confused so she
fled the castle on a horse. She was attacked by
wolves but the Beast came to rescue her.
The Beast fought off the wolves but he was
injured. Belle took him back to the castle and
took tended to his wounds. The Beast didn't
mean to be so harsh with her he just didn't
want her to damage the rose or see all of the
destruction. He apologized for scaring her and
Belle began to see the good in him. The Beast
then told her he had a surprise to thank her.
