One night while sleeping Detective 

Chris Rogers received a phone call 

from the police chief.

After the call Detective Rogers went to 

the police station to see what the 

problem was.

The Chief told Detective Rogers 

that there had been a breakout at 

the Ft. Worth Zoo. Many monkeys 

and camels had gotten out, and if 

they were not stopped the city 

and quite possibly the whole 

world would be destroyed.   The 

captain knew that there was only 

one man for the job, and that 

man was Detective Rogers.

Detective Rogers knew this would be a tough case.   He 

knew that if he was going to catch all these animals he 

would need a bigger vehicle.

Detective Rogers went to the school to borrow a bus.  

Now he just had to catch the animals.

While getting some gas for the bus Detective Rogers 

thought about where these animals would be.   He 

thought to himself, "If I were a monkey where would I 

be?" He knew where he needed to look.

Detective Rogers knew that monkeys loved climbing trees 

and the biggest nicest trees were at Papa D's house.  

Detective Rogers had found the monkeys!

Next the detective asked himself, " If I was a camel 

where would I be?"   He knew camels love the sand.  

Detective Rogers knew where the camels were!
