Inside a pyramid

A pyramid will hold everything (explained 

in Part 1: Subtopic 1), but can it hold 

more? It can! It can have store rooms, 

bedrooms, and indoor courtyards! Pyramids 

will contain built in false walls and doors to 

fool grave robbers to keep them from their 

goal to steal the riches of a pyramid. 

However, the robbers won and nearly 

every pyramid has been robbed.

Death and the Afterlife

Egyptians were obsessed with the gods 

and the afterlife. They believed when 

someone dies, their soul reaches the 

skies and joins the sun god. The 

Egyptians wanted high-class citizens to 

ensure they have the best possible 

afterlife. They had several ways of doing 

this and the most recognizable? A 

pyramid.

Shapes of a pyramid

Pyramids are most known for their 

sloppy sides and sharp point. However, 

pyramids were originally in a staircase 

form. Why? Egyptians believed that 

pyramids were "the staircase" to the 

afterlife.
