Once upon a time there was a frog
named Loopy who worked as a
sharecropper on a plantation owned by
ducks and surrounded by wisteria and
other flowering trees. The ducks that
Loopy had to work with were
persnickety and constantly made fun of
him by calling him mean names.

Every day when Loopy walked home,
the ducks called him rude names. Loopy
was offended and did not know why
they did this. However, he did not
become bitter, but it sure did make him
sad.

Each night when Loopy was in bed, he
would think about the unkind words the
ducks said to him. Loopy wished that
one day the ducks wold be nicer and not
pester him. Little did Loopy know, that
wish was about to come true.

Every morning was mostly a routine for
Loopy. He was resigned to his lonely life
of hard work. Despite the sweltering
heat, he got up and ventured to the
watering hole to get water for the crops.
This morning was different. Loopy heard
an audible, "QUACK" coming from the
east.

When Loopy saw what has happening,
he was speechless. There was a squirrel
eating the carrot crops! The nearby
duck did nothing about it, for he was
too scared and was immobilized. Loopy
reproachfully jumped on the squirrel
attempting to suffocate it. Loopy failed,
but made the squirrel quickly scurry
away.

At the end of the long day, Loopy
walked home lethargically. During the
beginning of the walk, he got no
gratitude from the duck. A while later,
the duck began to thank Loopy and tell
him how brave he was for scaring away
the squirrel. The duck explained that he
was surprised at Loopy's phenomenal
action and thanked him.
