
eTwinning Project: “ Prehistoric site”
(10 -14 years students)
AIMS
Students learn about a prehistoric site from their own country as well
as from other countries in a different way.
They learn to collaborate with classmates and other schools in Europe.
They use their English language to communicate with others.
To be able to pick out most important informations.
Improve your IT skills.
Become aware of the common European past and common heritage
that contributes to the development of European identity.
WORK PROCESS
This project could start in September and it could finish in March.
September: Presentation of the project. It should emphasize the security rules
on the Internet and offer web 2.0 tools that can be used.
Introducing the student teams and the cities they come from.
October: The students in groups select a prehistoric site or monument from
their own country. They find out informations about this prehistoric site or
monument. The students visit the prehistoric locality.
November: They prepare a presentation on interesting and creaative way.
(PowerPoint, Internet Book…)
December/January: The partners share and watch each others
presentations.
February/March: Creating a collaborative book about prehistoric localities.
Project evaluation and dissemination.
Activities:
1.Illustrations ( ancient dwelling, animals, people )
2.Using Google map.
3.Handcraft.
4. Visiting the prehistoric locality.
5.Preparing presentation ( Power point, slide-talk,
storyjumper )
6.Collaborative work.
A unique historical monument - a local
Stonehenge - has been preserved in the village
of Mykhilske. On the lawn, there is a cromlech
- a ritual place of an ancient man set forth by a
stone stake.
This monument- refers to the III - the end of
the IV millennium BC. the period of settlement
of the Proto-Indo-European people.


On one of the central stones of Mykilsk'
Cromlech, there is a trace-marker in stone
similar to human but very large size. Others see
in it an unknown creature, a large animal.
The last battle of Prince Sviatoslav.
The last battle of the Kiev prince Sviatoslav
was held on the thresholds of the Dnipro. This
battle and the death of a courageous warrior
are reflected in many literary works.

Today we have had an exhibition of children's
toys, kids had made the prehistoric 3D
dwelling from paper boxes and we had a
school meeting. The pupils presented
eTwinning project to their friends from other
classes. They have read some poems about
Sviatoslav, listened to some stories and
legends about Cromlech.
