Today in class, Timmy was learning about the
brain. As his teacher was talking about what
the brain does, Timmy was sitting in his seat
with a confused look on his face.

Mrs. Marks said that the brain is the most
important part of our body. She also said that
it controls all of our daily functions, and it also
controls what we can and can't do. He heard
the words that were coming out of her mouth,
but he did not understand anything Mrs. Marks
was saying.

Now that the day is over, Timmy is being
picked up by his mom. He is going to go home
and do what he does every day: do his
homework, play with his friends at the park,
eat his dinner, take a shower, brush his teeth,
and then go to sleep.

It is now time for Timmy to brush his teeth. As
he was brushing his teeth, he was thinking
about what his teacher taught him today in
school. He knows that the brain is one of the
most important parts of our body, and that the
brain is like the control center for our body, he
just doesn't understand how the brain does
what it does.

Timmy is now going to go sleep.

Timmy is now awake. Just like any regular day
Timmy goes to brush his teeth. As he goes
down to rinse his mouth into the sink, Timmy
is startled. He sees a lemur sitting on the edge
of the sink.

"Hi Timmy", says the lemur, "My name is
Julian." Timmy says,"what are you doing
here?" Julian says, "well Timmy, I know that
you don't understand how the brain works, so
I am here to help you understand what the
brain does, and how it does it. "

Timmy ignores the lemur and goes about his
daily routine. First, he gets dressed;continuing
his day, he goes downstairs to eat breakfast.
Timmy likes to eat his breakfast while
watching cartoon so,Timmy takes his cereal to
the living room so he can watch his cartoons.

The lemur says, "Timmy, do you know how you
are able to process what you're watching on
the t.v.? " Timmy says, "No I don't. " The
lemur says "well, the Occipital Lobe is the part
of your brain that helps you process visual
signals, so thanks to the Occipital Lobe, you
are able to understand what you are
seeing".Timmy says ,"My Occipital Lobe helps
me understand what I am seeing with my
eyes. " The lemur says, "That's correct. "
