This book is dedicated to... encouraging cultural diversity, and to presenting differences in dining and food across a variety of countries. The topic of eating and the variety of food can be addressed in a culturally responisve manner by presenting and informing others about the different foods and eating habits of other cultures. When you do this you see the similarities between countries, which encourages tolerance and acceptance.

As human beings we must all eat to survive. Each culture has their own customs when it comes to meal times. Sometimes the food that other countries eat might seem strange to us. I might look at what another country eats and think I might not like to eat it myself. Some countries might eat at different times than I eat, and it might seem strange at first.
2
However, you might find that many countries have more in common when it comes to food than we might think. Come along with me, and meet some friends from different countries! Lets see when they eat their Main Meals, and what they are eating. Have you ever eaten what they are eating? Do you ever eat at the same time of day? Lets go on a journey and find out!
