In Brazil, very close to the huge and beautiful Amazon Rain forest, lived a man named Pele. Pele was the owner of a very famous paper company named “Enorme Papel” and because of this , his pockets were always filled with green pieces of paper with the Brazilian money sign on them.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, Pele went to chop down trees in the forest. Many times, when Pele went to work, he saw people protesting that his company should stop cutting down trees, because the trees in the Amazon Rainforest give us twenty percent of all the oxygen in the world. Also, ten percent of all the living species live in this forest.

Every time Pele went to chop down trees, he saw a different animal trying to find a new home. However he was never sad. He knew there was a chance that if he kept chopping trees, some small animals might become extinct, but because he earned money of chopping trees, he kept doing it. Also, because Pele knew that trees are renewable, he was not worried- he did not realize that it takes many years for trees to grow to maturity.

One day when Pele was preparing to cut a tree, a leopard came towards him. It was drooling and his eyes were red with anger. The leopard was about to attack Pele and he did not know what to do; he was so scared that he could not even move! The leopard got closer and closer to Pele, but then, when he was already very close, a coconut fell on the leopard's head and knocked him out.

Immediately after this happened, Pele went to check if the leopard was still alive and maybe dangerous. However, he saw that the leopard was not moving, Pele was speechless. He did not even know what to think, all he knew was that it was a huge miracle that he was still alive. The coconut tree saved him.
