Once upon a time there lived a brave knight who wore armour made of pure iron. He was the best knight in the whole kingdom.

The iron (Fe) he wore was a silvery grey, and was a magnetic shiny material. But it wasn't that strong.

The knight could not fight in the rain because the iron would rust very quickly if it touched the water. So he couldn't fight any sea monsters at all!

So the knight decided to venture out on a quest to find a magical wizard who had the power to make the strongest armour.

The knight ventured through forests, mountains, volcanoes and many rivers to find this all powerful wizard.

He finally found the wizard in a cave at the bottom of the closest mountain to the castle

"Ah, good sir I've been waiting for you." said a weak voice. The knight turned around to see the wizard who had once been stood in front of him.

The knight was soon to sit down and tell the wizard about his trouble with his armour.

" I see." said the wizard, "I do not not need my magic as there is a special substance only I have acquired."

"Carbon! The magical substance that will make your armour the strongest and shiniest armour, it was used to help make the Queen's wedding ring, you see when put with iron it becomes a very strong metal called steel."

The knight listened and was soon told to stand very still...
