"Cinnamon!" Cinnamon's mother called from the kitchen, "Do you think you could go into the orchard and pick a basket of apples?". Cinnamon headed into the apple orchard, her mane flying in the breeze. She decided to nibble on a couple of the apples as she collected them. Clunk! She kicked a tree and a cascade of apples came falling down. Grab, nibble, nibble, grab, nibble, nibble, nibble. She grabbed and ate some of the apples. When her basket was full, she headed back to the house. She ate another apple on the way, and when it was finished, grabbed another. When she returned her mother looked up. "I thought I asked you to bring a basket of apples, Cinnamon". Cinnamon looked down. Oops!

Cinnamon hadn't realized she had eaten so many apples. Her mother gave a knowing smile, "It's okay, this will be fine," and she went about moving bowls and pans onto the kitchen table. "Could you hand me the sugar and the mixture in the blue bowl. I think it's in the fridge". Cinnamon fetched the items and trotted around the house. "Why don't you go play outside?" asked her mother a little late, because Cinnamon was already out the door. Her mom smiled, and pulled down the window curtain. Then she began mixing a few things into a large pan, and grabbed a container of cinnamon seasoning, the one her daughter was named after, and set to work. "Cinnamon!" she called, "could you go over to the farm for some butter?"

"Do I have to restock our pantry too!?" groaned Cinnamon, "first apples, and now butter! What's next? Daffodil soup!?". She grumbled to herself as she headed out the door. "Oh, and I need some eggs, too!" Her mother called. Cinnamon rolled her eyes and headed off to the farm. After she thanked the farmer, she took the butter and eggs and galloped home, not wanting to run any more errands. Splat! Splock! Curplunk! Ten of the twelve eggs landed on the ground. Cinnamon growled, closed the flap in her bag, and hurried home. When she returned, she dumped the bag on the table. The eggs stayed put, but the butter rolled off the table and slid across the floor. Cinnamon threw it on the table and went out the door.
