Zone of Aeriation
Zone of Saturation: Region in the ground in which pore spaces are filled with water.
Capillarity: The upward movement of water through very small pore spaces.
3
zone saturation
The water table is defined as the level beneath the Earth's surface below which all pore spaces are filled with water, and above which the pore spaces are filled with air. The zone of saturation is the area beneath the water table where all pore spaces are completely filled with water. Water that exists within this zone is known as "ground water".

Water Movement
Porosity is a measure of how much of a rock is open space. This space can be between grains or within cracks or cavities of the rock.
Permeability is a measure of the ease with which a fluid (water in this case) can move through a porous rock.

spring
- A geyser is a spring from which water and steam is ejected forcefully into the air at heights ranging from less than a metre (a few feet) to over one hundred metres (several hundred feet).
- Geysers are a quite rare phenomenon on Earth due to the precise conditions that are required for them to form. They are mainly clustered near active volcanic areas.
- There are only around one thousand known active geysers worldwide.
